Fallout 4 hasn’t been announced yet, but we can be sure it is coming very soon, because of the success of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. These two games released in 2008 and in 2010. So the most-wanted next game is definitely going to be announced during next year.

The Wasteland is a very hard place to live for a vanderer, you have to scavenge every single item from your dead enemies or from mostly the locations.

Fist I am going to write about the main locations in the two previous games.

Fallout 3

Fallout 4 Likely Main Locations and Cities

Fallout 3 was released in 2008 and it has become the Game of the Year. The game takes place in 2277, 200 years after the Great War, in Washington, D.C. The game has the city, some hills, the metro, the Vaults, some small settlements, the Capital Wasteland with (in DLCs:) the Haven, The swamp in Point Lookout and the Mothership Zeta in the space. Canada was annexed by the United States, because those resources are the most needed for the war against the Chinese in Alaska.

Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout 4 Likely Main Locations and Cities

This game was released in 2010, mostly with the same graphics of the previous game, Fallout 3. The game has the post-apocalyptic city of Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, some little town, the Mojave Desert, (in DLCs:) Utah’s Zion National Park, the Sierra Madre Casino, the Big Empty and the torn Divide.

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 Likely Main Locations and Cities

As you read before the fourth episode has not been announced yet, but it is a very interesting to think about those extreme post-apocalyptic locations we are going to see within I guess less than 2 years from now.

California

In Fallout: New Vegas we played with, against or as a member of the New Californian Republic and we have already seen Las Vegas, but not Los Angeles. It can be interesting, but the new game must have interesting places to get more attractive for players, so it is not likely to be made in the future.

Canada

We have heard about it in Fallout 3: the US has annexed Canada, because of the very needed resources. Great wildlife and forests, maybe the setting will be Toronto and we can get a huge playable area. Hunting, fishing, shooting, sneaking and all the other stuffs are also guaranteed there. It can be a very great and interesting game.

Saint Petersburg

I can imagine: winter, snow, animals and a lot of rich, poor people and scavengers. After Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light’s Moscow, it is not very likely, but you never know, because the city has great and huge buildings, squares, it can amuse you how big it is and the team can make a very good militaric setting in the post-apocalyptic Saint Petersburg. Maybe some forests and the port will be also included.

Berlin

Mostly the same as Saint Petersburg, but maybe with less forests (and without a great port).

London

Great, historic buildings, very likely setting for the game.

The newly reformed Commonwealth

Some people from Poland and other places really want this, and they can imagine it as a place where futuristic, post-apocalyptic weapons are used by the military and it would have great military power.

New Orleans

As I remember, maybe the creative director and it’s inner team are really thinking about this setting maybe right now. They want to prove that New Orleans is an all-round city with everything you want from a post-apocalyptic game. Nice city, storms, multicultural with very many people and it has a nice port too.

Boston

There are some rumours that the Bethesda mapping team was taking a trip around the city to discover interesting places for the next Fallout.

Alaska

Maybe not the favorite choice, because if you think about it: great wilderness, no big cities or town, just some settlements.

Hawaiian Islands

Kona, Hilo and the volcano! Some people prefer a hot setting for the next game! Not just the nice landscape, but the opportunities, that the game can bring for the players.

Mexico City

The density rank is the 1st among all the cities on Earth, so it is a really big city with slums, brutal hotels and locations (like Max Payne 3), normal places and the place of the very richest people in that country. It must be an interesting adventure for all of us, but the other locations are also very attracting.

These main cities and areas are maybe the most popular ones among the Fallout community, it would be great if one of these (maybe not all of these) could be made in Fallout 4, but the creators of the series have never ever disappointed us. We hope the best.

If you have a location idea, please let us know in the comments! :D
